Originally from Homer Glen, IL, Jennifer trained at the Academy of Dance Arts with Sherry Moray, Irina Starovoitova, Jennifer Grapes Croughan, and Ricky and Carrie Ruiz. Jennifer graduated in May 2015 from the University of Iowa with a B.F.A. in Dance with an emphasis in Choreography, a Minor in Psychology, and a Performing Arts Entrepreneurial Certificate. At the University of Iowa, Jennifer premiered several of her own original works while also performing repertory by choreographers such as Deanna Carter, Eloy and Sarah Barragan, Kristin Marrs, Eleanor Goudie-Averill, Melinda Meyers, and Nicholas Leichter. Jennifer was also selected to be a part of the university's prestigious dance company, Dancers in Company, which toured throughout the Midwest performing repertory, giving lecture demonstrations, and teaching dance classes to the youth in the area.
In addition to her experiences at the University of Iowa, Jennifer attended Milwaukee Ballet’s professional summer program in 2013 and 2014 as a scholarship student, as well as Inaside Dance Chicago’s professional summer program in 2014 on scholarship. Jennifer was further invited to train at the Boston Conservatory with former Pilobolus Artistic Associate Jun Kuribayashi in 2018. Jennifer has been a company member with Trifecta Dance Collective, Project606 Dance, and Ardent Dance Company, performing throughout the country.
Beyond performing, Jennifer has a strong passion for teaching, choreographing, and watching her students grow as dancers, artists, and individuals. Jennifer choreographs and teaches ballet, aerial silks and aerial lyra.
Jennifer trained at Aerial Dance Chicago from August 2018 to March 2020 and has been a full company member and teaching artist since September 2021. Jennifer is thrilled to be entering her fourth season at Aerial Dance Chicago and is excited to be a part of Aerial Dance Chicago’s 25th anniversary season, celebrating the endless possibilities that aerial dance has to offer.
