What are the specifics of the aerial silks needed for classes at ADC?
ADC classes require low-stretch aerial fabric, 15-16 yards long, attached to a Figure 8 carabiner and ready to go for class.
Do students need to bring their own silks for class at ADC?
Students are highly encouraged to bring their own silks for class. Aerial Fabric Requirements to be rigged at our studio and used in our classes.
What causes damage to the Figure 8 Carabiner?
ADC does not connect any metal carabiners to the Figure 8 carabiners at our studio. If you use your silk at other spaces or at home, DO NOT CONNECT directly to a metal carabiner this will damage your Figure 8 carabiner. If the Figure 8 shows any wear or damage, we will not rig the apparatus and it may not be used for class at ADC.

What is the height of our connection point?
The rig point height at ADC is 14 feet 4 inches.

Is the connection point adjustable for silks of different lengths?
No, with ultimate safety as our highest priority, we use a static, not a dynamic rigging system at ADC. The points are a set height and not adjustable.
Besides my Aerial Fabric attached to my Figure 8 carabiner, do I need additional carabiners?
For ADC to connect your silk at our space, all that you need to bring is your silk attached to your Figure 8. You do not need to purchase or bring other carabiners, swivels or any other type of hardware.
